Hi! I’m Niamh! A Northern Irish artist, sea witch, citizen scientist, and aspiring ocean conservationist whose work and life are informed and enhanced by folklore, the occult and the natural world (especially the natural world). My fiction and poetry have been published widely across Canada and the U.S; my first novel, was published in 2023. My current personal and research interests are macrophotography of plants, animals and insects, ocean conservation, shark behaviour and Celtic history. Apart from this I enjoy playing music (fiddle, saxophone, piano and guitar), engaging in citizen science, meeting new people and  spending time with the sea! Selkies and Seaslugs is a labour of love dedicated to what I am most passionate about: the sea. Through my writing and art I hope to share my love for the natural world, communicate messages of hope and spread awareness about conservation initiatives.
